Structural Geologist and Wellsite Geologist for Oil & Gas Company

To assist our client, we are looking for outstanding candidates to fill the following two vacant jobs:

Job vacancy: STRUCTURAL GEOLOGIST (ref 06/0184)

Scope of Work:
Petroleum Geologist with at least 20 years experience in the oil industry, specialising in structural geological problems, particularly those involving seismic interpretation of structural issues. Experience in Tertiary basins, particularly those with mobile substrates is a pre-requisite, as is the ability to work closely with G
& G staff in the company’s office.
Approx. Period of Assignment: 90 days with an option to extend for another 90 days.

Job vacancy: WELLSITE GEOLOGIST (ref 06/0183)

Duties:
- Provide Supervision and Quality Control of all matters geologic at the wellsite.
- Provide hydrocarbon show evaluation.
- Supervise Mudlogging, LWD, Coring and Wireline Offshore Operations.
- Acquire Formation Tester Pressure and Sampling Programs.
- Verbal & written reporting of Geological / FE data to KL office.
- Supervise Ditch Cutting Sampling Program.
- Processing and Describing Full Core.
- Prepare Composition Logs, using WINLOG software.
- To monitor presence of Abnormal Formation Pressure.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years experience as a Wellsite Geologist.
- Minimum of a BSc in Geology or related discipline.
- Experience in the Sarawak Basin,
- Have a strong background in Mudlogging, LWD and Wireline Operations / Supervision. Candidates with the strong exposure to latest generation of wireline tools (including MSCT, Dual Packer, and CMRPlus)
will be preferred.
- Be computer literate, preference will be given to those with a background in WINLOG composite log generation software and Pressure Plot analysis.
- Fluent in English

Expected Duration: 12 months with an option to extend for another 12 months
Expected Start Date: Immediately
