Process Engineer - Hydraulic Control

Responsibilities:
• The Process Engineer will be responsible for determining the optimum process route and preparing process design information taking into account all aspects of safety in design for their respective process units. This responsibility includes the definition of utility system requirements which are an integral part of the process route, as well as definition of all offsites requirements. The Process Engineer also prepares process performance guarantees, associated utilities guarantees, the development of the P & ID’s, layouts and attend the Engineering and Safety reviews.
• Responsibilities
• Fully proficient in all major aspects of process design, proposal preparation, project development, and project execution related to natural gas production, treating, and processing equipment and facilities
• Extensive background in system hydraulic design, conceptual design, process simulation, PFD and P&ID development, equipment design, sizing, specification, and selection, bid preparation, PHA/HAZOP review, operator training, plant start-up, troubleshooting, and performance testing
• Provides engineering calculations for equipment sizing including hydraulic level specification, retention and settling times, PFD and P&ID development, complete heat and material balances, line sizing for all systems
• Ensures process systems are designed and engineered to meet customer’s requirements in a technically efficient and commercially viable manner
• Works closely with Project Managers assigned to the project to ensure that scope of supply and design parameters are clear and well defined
• Works with the drafters to assure that the drafting requirements and design intent of the project are met
• Vendor evaluation
• Provides engineering to evaluate customer comments on approval drawings for technical and commercial content additions and supports each facility fabrication and shop questions during assembly of equipment
• Works with manufacturing during fabrication and provides support to field personnel during on-site field checkout and commissioning of equipment
• Confers with manufacturing and drafting to prepare design modifications as required
Requirements:
• Multi-national Engineering Construction Management Company in Oil & Gas located in Jurong East
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required
• 5 – 8 years experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industries
• Applicant must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Applicant must be willing to travel when required
