Shell Exploration & Production Asia Pacific operates in seven countries – Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, China, Philippines, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore. We currently have positions available in Miri, Malaysia.

Job vacancy: Internal Auditor - Technical

Responsibilities:
Provide independent assurance to businesses regarding the effectiveness of risk management and internal control systems
Facilitate risk and control assessments of businesses
Identify and share good risk management and internal control practices with business clients
Raise awareness of the internal requirements relating to governance, risk management and internal control
Deliver support and advice on emerging governance and assurance developments
Implementing the audit process, from the drafting of Terms of Reference, through to final issue of the audit report
Influence line management to accept and implement audit recommendations and ensure a high level of acceptability/credibility for the internal audit function
Supervise and manage the participating audit team members to ensure that professional relationships and quality of work are maintained at a high level
Assist in managing the follow-up process of outstanding agreed actions
Conduct or participate in impartial and balanced investigations/special reviews. In doing so, establish facts as quickly as possible, whilst at the same time maintaining confidentiality and conformance to good practice
Conduct/participate in the control reviews within the region.

Requirements:
A recognised degree or professional qualification in engineering
At least 10 years’ relevant experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry in either Production Operations/Maintenance or engineering-related activities
Good understanding of the Upstream Oil & Gas business processes and activities
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills essential.
