P T Rutledge Industries, an established and reputable provider of safety services to the oil & gas industry is looking for competent Rig Safety Officer.

The selected candidate shall provide specialist safety services in areas of HSE and H2S (hydrogen sulfide) detection and protection. This involves conducting training, supervising the use of safety equipment in work and / or escape situations at Client facilities. He shall be required to rig-up and rig-down safety equipment as well as maintain and calibrate detection equipment

Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in either Drilling, Marine & Offshore, Electronics & Telecommunication, HSE Management or related engineering area
Completed accredited Safety & Health Officer Course, with sound knowledge of drilling rig HSE regulations and practices
Must have previous work experience on board drilling rig
A positive attitude with good problem-solving skills, creativity, displaying initiative and willing to work in a multi-cultural environment
Effectively bi-lingual in English and Mandarin
Medically and physically fit
Based in home country, able to travel extensively and stay offshore for an extended duration (or on 28/28 work rota)
