General Manager - Mining

Job Vacation: GENERAL MANAGER - MINING

Our client is a major Indonesian coal exporter. They seek to fill the position of General Manager - Mining. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of an Indonesian export coal mining operation, to ensure that safety, budget profits and contractual objectives are fulfilled.

You will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering,
* Extensive experience in a Senior Management position,
* A high standard of interpersonal skills,
* HR management skills,
* Over 15 years open cut coal mining experience,
* Previous experience in the Indonesian mining sector, and
* A sound track record of achievements.

A high standard of written and oral communications skills, advanced levels of computer literacy and the ability to analyse data, will be well regarded. The successful applicant will also have the ability to make decisions, excellent organisational skills, and strong leadership skills.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Promoting a culture of awareness and commitment to safe working practices amongst all employees, which will enable a healthy and accident-free working environment.
* Developing and leading a team of professionals highly committed to actively working together in the achievement of production goals.
* Developing a plan that will ensure budgeted production can be
efficiently achieved.
* Managing and coordinating operations, maintenance, quality control and engineering to achieve required tonnage and product grade specifications.
* Ensuring compliance with all applicable statutory requirements.
* Managing the expenditure of operating and capital budgets to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the mining department.

Reporting directly to the board of directors, this senior position offers an attractive US$ package based on qualifications and experience, private use of a company vehicle, company housing and relocation assistance. This role is site based and married or single status arrangements are available.
