Sr. MINE ENGINEER - (Code: SME)

This is a Staff position reporting to Long Term Planning Superintendent. He/she is responsible for preparing the long term planning for all of PT Arumin projects with objective of providing sound basis for subsequent longterm mine planning and other mining activities.

Required Qualifications:

· Holding University degree (S-1) in Mining Engineering or Geology
· Min. 5 years exp. in coal mine planning and operations.
· Good knowledge and strong experience in mine planning skill.
· Good understanding on technical and financial aspect of coal mining operations.
· Good skills in Mincom and Minex software, preferably Xpac, Xeras, and TALPAC
· Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).
· Possess good communication skill in Indonesian and English.
· Possess strong capability to work as a team.
· Showed high integrity and commitment to PTAI standards in environment, safety and business ethic.
· Physically and mentally healthy
· Job location Balikpapan

This is staff position reporting to Geologist Supervisor. He/She is responsible and fully supported the Geologist Supervisor for planning, running and supervising detailed exploration program targeting for coal mining.

Specific requirements to apply:

* University Degree in Geology from reputable university
* Min. 2 years working experiences in coal mining or fresh graduate with outstanding performance encouraged to apply

This position is responsible for handling the day to day activities of mine planning aspects, short and long term planning, communication with contractor, in order to ensure that the production target is achieved in a safe manner.

REQUIREMENTS :
* 3 - 5 Years experiences On Coal Mining Company
* Bachelors in Geology
* Have capability to write & geologist reporting, drilling & explanation report is preferable
* Understanding in geosciences mapping and volumetric, geology and seismic stratigraphy, seismic interpretation.
* Formation evaluation including electric log data planning, acquisition and interpretation.
* Integration of petrophysical logging, mudlogging and core data.
* Fluency in the use of geoscience application tools (Landmark).
* Competency in spoken and written English.
* Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Ability to work with a mentor, a team, and as an independent contributor.
* High level of initiative, energy and creativity & willingness to accept responsibility.

Due to our company rapid growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail oriented Geologist to take the next step in his/her career and join a group of professionals in an overseas position as Office Geologist.

Key components of this role will be :
* Processing field geology data into Excel databases
* Processing GPS data with MapSource, Excel and Google Earth
* Plot geological traverses on maps with Surfer
* Plot outcrop and other geological data on maps with Surfer
* Maintain and keep backups of all geological data
* Assisting in preparing reports [in English]
* Assisting in planning geological traverses/drilling
* Interpretation of down hole geophysical logs
* Preparing samples to be sent to the laboratory
* Processing and compiling coal quality data into Excel databases
* Assisting in geological interpretation
* Assisting field geologists in preparing for fieldwork including purchase of equipment, supplies, etc
* Other office duties as required

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you meet the following requirements:
* Experience in the above tasks with interest in coal or some coal experience
* Good command in English
* Willing to learn and fast learner
* Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Vista/XP, Surfer 8
* Capabilities with MapInfo, Global Mapper, MS Project, Photoshop, MapSource, Google Earth is useful but not essential
* Must have an analytical mind
* Must pay attention to detail and work accurately
